Located at 202 Old West Coast Road, Templeton, the cattery has 50 individual rooms including 2 deluxe units, all built to New Zealand Cat & Kennel Association standards and accredited to 5-star by AsureQuality New Zealand. Due to demand, the cattery reserves the right to charge for all booked days even if you collect your pet early.
Requirements
Vaccination certificate required (feline enteritis, rhinotracheitis, calicivirus) current within 12 months. Current flea and worm treatment requested.

Excellent cattery. Owners are friendly and very obliging. Cats accommodation good, individual units which have access to indoor and outdoor. Recommend them.
We have been going to this Amazing Cattery for 10 years or so. Never had a problem! The units have heated floors, indoor/outdoor areas. Ali and Wayne are so kind and caring. Cats settle in very quickly.
Clean and tidy and smells fresh and airy. Good open hours and reasonable prices.
FAQs
What are your boarding rates?
Standard room: $20/day for 1 cat, $30/day for 2 cats sharing. Deluxe room: $30/day for 1 cat, $40/day for 2 cats. Deluxe + Adjoining: $45/day for 1 cat. Minimum charge is $40.
Do you offer discounts for long stays?
Yes, stays exceeding 21 days receive a $1 per day discount on remaining days. Note: No discounts apply during public holidays or 23 December - 10 January.
What vaccinations are required?
All cats must have a vaccination certificate showing protection against feline enteritis, rhinotracheitis and calicivirus within the previous 12 months. The vaccination must remain current throughout the entire boarding period.
What food do you provide?
We provide premium BlackHawk biscuits for all cats. If your cat requires a veterinary prescription diet, you may bring your own food, however no discount is offered.
Can I bring my cat's own bedding and toys?
Yes, we encourage you to bring familiar items from home including beds, blankets, and favourite toys to help your cat feel comfortable. We also provide indoor and outdoor beds with cosy blankets.
Do you have heating?
Yes, we have underfloor heating throughout the facility to keep cats warm and cosy, especially in winter. The building is also insulated.
What are your office hours?
Monday to Saturday: 9am-11am and 4:30pm-5:30pm. Sunday: 9am-10am and 4pm-5pm. Appointments outside these hours are available by arrangement.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit cards, and online banking. Credit card and Payway payments incur a 1.65% surcharge. Online payments must be submitted 24 hours before pickup.
Do you have an isolation unit?
Yes, we have a separate isolation unit staffed by a qualified veterinary nurse for cats that may become unwell during their stay.
What size are the units?
Standard units measure 2 metres in length, 1 metre in width, and 2 metres in height, with direct access to individual patios via cat doors. We have 50 rooms including 2 deluxe rooms.
Can family cats stay together?
Yes, adjoining units are available for cat families with a cat door between 2 standard units. We also offer deluxe rooms and deluxe + adjoining combinations for larger groups.
What are your accreditations?
We are accredited to 5-star by AsureQuality New Zealand and built to New Zealand Cat & Kennel Association standards. We exceed maximum standards for both companion cat welfare codes and temporary housing.
