Barndale Boarding Cattery has been offering first-class cat boarding since 1994. Located on a rural property 10km south of Warkworth, cats are free to move around the cattery and are not confined to cages or runs. Each cat has their own unit to eat and sleep in, with secure all-weather outside areas.
Barndale Boarding Cattery is a family-run facility operated by Janet and Colin Christophersen on their rural homestead at 70 Moir Hill Road, 10km south of Warkworth. Established in 1994, they have over 30 years of experience providing first-class cat boarding with a reputation for meticulous attention to detail.

Janet and Colin personally operate the cattery and live on-site, providing 24-hour supervision. Their client base extends throughout Auckland and beyond, reaching areas such as Mangawhai and Dargaville. They encourage prospective clients to schedule viewings to see the facility firsthand.

Standard Rates:
- Single Cat: $18/day
- Two Cats (same family): $32/day
Long-Stay Rates (30+ days):
- Single Cat: $16/day
- Two Cats (same family): $30/day
Long-stay rates exclude Dec 15 - Jan 15. Peak season bookings require a 30% non-refundable deposit.

Directions: From the motorway, take the Puhoi exit, then turn right and left onto Pohuehue Road (the old State Highway 1). If travelling south, remain on the through road rather than accessing the motorway.
